Reviews for Lakeside Cafe - St Lucia QLD 4067
Review highlights
Based on 378 reviewsLakeside Cafe is widely appreciated for its consistent food quality, offering a variety of flavorful dishes such as banh mi, rice vermicelli salads, and unique beverage options at reasonable prices. The cafe enjoys a reputation for maintaining clean, efficient service that appeals to both students and staff within the campus community. Its outdoor setting provides a pleasant atmosphere, particularly during mild weather, enhancing the overall dining experience with a relaxed and inviting vibe. However, the absence of indoor seating has been noted as a limitation during adverse weather conditions, impacting comfort in heavy rain or extreme temperatures. While the location's scenic appeal is currently diminished due to the lake being out of operation, many patrons still find the cafe a valuable and enjoyable spot for casual meals and socializing. Overall, Lakeside Cafe is recognized as a reliable, community-oriented eatery with a strong emphasis on taste, affordability, and ambiance.
Came on a friend's recommendation and enjoyed the combination rice vermicelli noodle salad ($15), which came with some spring rolls, beef, Vietnamese meatball, and sugarcane prawn. The food was more satisfying than the views, for unfortunately there's currently no lake to be ⁹Lakeside* of. Will have to return with the lake is back in operation!
Consistent quality, fast, clean, nice taste and dishes, and just a good price point for what you get. Deep admiration for these business. Thank you guys, because it makes our community more enjoyable.
honestly one of the best cafes on campus! super underrated. they’ve got really good banh mi for only $9. they’ve also got a variety of really unique drink flavours on their menu.
Enjoyed our snack of Bahn Mi and Goi con. Pleasant surrounds but can get busy around lunch periods.
Good place to enjoy the beautiful Queensland weather in the early morning! You can enjoy tasty hot and cold drinks or eating breakfast, having a chat with friends or co-workers while listening to birds twitter will have a good vibe at 7:00 in the morning. However, there are no indoor areas, which means no protection from heavy rain, no air conditioner during hot summer and low temperature season and bird's attitude. The feature that I like the most in this coffee shop is that this place always maintains the cleanliness of the shop and the comfort of their customers. This may be biassed but as a Vietnamese, I honestly recommend to try Pho (Beef Noodle soup) and Banh Mi (Vietnamese bread rolls - you can imagine it as a Sub in Vietnamese style), the most famous dishes from Vietnam. Enjoy!
Nice location on the UQ Campus to have a meal and coffee with great veiws of UQ lakes. Was greeted by friendly staff. Good coffee and had the bahn mi which was well priced.
This place has the best iced matcha on campus! I also really like the Banh mi here and the danishes always seem very fresh.
